Siquijor
Siquijor Island
Siquijor Island, part of the Central Visayas Region alongside Negros Oriental, Cebu, and Bohol, is known for its rich history and natural beauty. During the Spanish colonial era, it was called “Isla de Fuego” or “Island of Fire” due to the abundance of fireflies that lit up its molave trees.
As the third smallest island province in the Philippines, Siquijor is famous not only for its mystical traditions, shamanism, and natural healing rituals but also for its breathtaking landscapes. Visitors can explore stunning waterfalls, pristine beaches, and vibrant coral reefs. Among its many attractions, scuba diving stands out as a must-do activity, offering incredible underwater experiences in its crystal-clear waters.
